i know applying through job openings on company websites is basically a black hole, but i was wondering how responsive companies were when students apply to positions they've listed on school career centers.
i also often see people getting internships and offers from companies that do not actively recruit at their particular school. i was wondering how exactly this process works. is it purely networking or are there other components to this?
